How Can I Get Answers to Practical Questions about the LSHR?

The National Lead Information Center (NLIC) provides the general public and professionals with information about lead hazards and their prevention. NLIC operates under a contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with funding from EPA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. You can reach the Center by calling, sending an electronic message, writing, faxing or leaving a recorded message.

To call and speak with a specialist Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm eastern time (except federal holidays) use
1(800) 424-LEAD [5323]. To send an electronic message, use a form provided on the Center’s web site.

Information on the Lead Safe Housing Rule came from the Lead Safe Housing Rule on the HUD website and Lead in Paint, Dust and Soil on the EPA’s website.
